The 3400 PURSUIT Express stands out as an offshore fishing powerhouse, offering top-notch amenities that serious anglers anticipate from a PURSUIT product. Boasting a modified deep-V entry and a spacious 12’ 9” beam, the 3400 ensures exceptional stability, precise handling, and a smooth, dry ride. The Twin Cummins diesel inboards deliver a cruising speed of 28 knots and a top speed of 32 knots.

With its expansive 12' 9" beam, the Pursuit 3400 Express provides a remarkably roomy cockpit and spacious interior accommodations. The helm deck is designed with an L-shaped lounge opposite a double-wide helm seat. Notable cockpit features include a transom fishbox, in-floor fishbox, tackle locker, and live bait well. The boat's profile is striking, featuring a high windshield for excellent visibility, wide side decks, and easy engine access facilitated by a hydraulic engine hatch lift.

Summer School is currently located at ReefPoint Marina in Racine and is available for both in-person showings and virtual tours. The owner's new boat is set to be delivered at the end of the month, making Summer School ready for its new owner!

Model History:

The 3400 Express was introduced for the 1997 model year, representing the largest boat Pursuit had built up to that point. Produced at the Tiara factory in Holland, MI (both Tiara and Pursuit are part of S-2 Yachts), the production run lasted 8 years, concluding with the 2004 model year. While the hull design remained consistent, deck layout changes occurred over the production years.

Construction:

Pursuit employs premium polyester and vinylester resins, along with E-glass knitted fiberglass cloth in their layup process. The 3400's hull is solid fiberglass below the waterline, cored with Baltek balsa above the waterline. The stringers are made of synthetic foam, encapsulated in fiberglass, and installed while the hull is still in the mold. The deck layup, similar to the hull's, uses balsa coring to stiffen walking areas. The entire boat is hand-laid to the highest standards.

Vessel Walk-Thru:

The cabin, entered on centerline and down three steps, features a head aft on port, a forward galley, and a dinette to starboard with a teak hi-lo table. The dinette converts to a double berth. The bow holds an island queen berth with ample storage. Finished in beautiful teak, the cabin exhibits Pursuit's commitment to high-quality interior fit and finish. Notable features include a flat panel TV mount on a swivel and a flat panel TV forward to port.
