The Overing 113’ Family Kitchen Explorer is based on a proven, proprietary fast displacement hull form and is one of a selection of layouts that is available.

This is not a “country kitchen” which forces the master to the lower deck but a midship full beam open galley with large windows, oversized settee, and counter seating.

There is room for all the commercial equipment including a 6-burner cooktop and true overhead ventilation on the cooking island.  There is a walk-in pantry, extensive storage, a refrigerator/oven wall, a coffee station, a wine cooler and additional storage. You can’t have too much storage so there is an additional pantry in the formal dining room forward of the galley with a large window with a buffet located under it and china storage cabinets.

The formal dining room has access directly from the galley and guest access via the foyer. The galley can be closed off from the large aft lounge and foyer.

The fourth service level has additional refrigerators and freezer space, dry goods storage, and individual crew lockers. It provides full-height access from the bow crew area to the stern, plus service access to the forward pump room and other equipment. The full-service level is unique to this series in this size level.

The combination of these features makes for a chef’s dream, a wonderful place for family and friends to sit in an informal area, discuss the day's adventures and enjoy the dynamics of a family kitchen. It also provides all the practical storage needed for true long-range and remote exploration. It also makes a great place for kids to sit for schoolwork or to play games separate from the two-lounge area. The formal dining room would make an excellent remote school area or be outfitted to convert into a gym or a medical suite.
